I just thought I would do a quick little post to show you the just-for-fun Halloween sugar cookies I made last week. After completing an order of 4 dozen cookies, I had a bunch of icing and some circle cookies left over. For the first time in a long time, I made cookies for no good reason. I usually make them for baby showers or birthday parties or for my husband to give to people he works with. But this time around I just experimented and had fun creating spooky little cookies.
I am not going to go into detail on how I made them. If you want to see a tutorial on making sugar cookies with royal icing, I have one HERE. And to learn how to make spider webs, click HERE. I used a twenty second icing for outlining and flooding. It makes the whole process faster and makes everything look more rounded and bubbly. To learn how to make and work with 20 second icing, check out Sweet Sugarbelle’s tutorial, HERE.
I also used an Americolor black gourmet writer to stencil on the witch and to make the pupils of the eyes. I absolutely love my food coloring markers! Click HERE to see them on Amazon.
Happy Halloween!
You are pretty much amazing! I like the little furry monsters.
