Do you know that kind of sneaky feeling you get when there is something delicious close by and you have already had your fair share of it, but you continue to slice off tiny pieces? Pretty soon all those tiny pieces that you have snitched add up to another whole piece or two.
That’s me with these Oreo treats. What makes it worse is that at the time I made these my husband was doing a fitness/healthy challenge and wasn’t eating any sugar. So as the treats in the pan got fewer and fewer, I knew it was all my doing!
Like all marshmallow treats, these are a synch to make. They almost taste like a soft, chewy chocolate cookie with the perfect flavor of an Oreo.
Ingredients:
- 1 package of Oreos
- 1 bag of mini marshmallows
- 4 TBSP. butter
Directions:
1. Place a sleeve of Oreos in a blender or food processor and pulse until the cookies are pulverized into crumbs. Repeat with the remaining Oreos. You can also lightly blend them so that they are still chunky. It just depends on the texture you want. And it is totally fine to snitch and Oreo or four during this process. You don’t need exactly 1 package, just a good pile of crushed Oreos.
2. Place the Oreo’s in a very large bowl and set aside.
3. Over low heat, melt the butter, stirring occasionally. Once the butter is completely melted, add the marshmallows and stir until melted.
4. Add the marshmallow mixture to the Oreo’s in the bowl and fold the together until they are well combined.
5. Place the mixture in a greased baking pan and let them sit up for a couple minutes before serving.
Warning: You will want a big glass of milk with these!
